Chromeleon supports the following instruments from Kontron:
Kontron 32X/52X and 420/422 Pumps
Kontron 425 Gradient Former
Kontron Autosamplers
Kontron 430, 535, and 432/332 UV Detectors
Kontron SFM25 Fluorescence Detector
Unless otherwise stated, Kontron instruments are connected using a special RS connecting cable (Dionex part no. 8914.0112 for a 25-pin connection or Dionex part no. 8914.0133 for a 9-pin connection; for more information, refer to Kontron Cable in the Appendix of the Hardware Installation section).
The baud rate set on the unit must correspond to the baud rate specified in the Dionex device driver. The baud rate for Kontron devices is usually 4800 bit/s.
Tip:
When the PC is powered up, incorrect characters may be generated. If this occurs, an error message is displayed. To reset the Kontron instruments:
Start your PC.
Wait until booting is complete.
Start your instruments.
Start the server application.
If you are using the Kontron 360 Autosampler, the incorrect characters may cause the sample position from the previous sample to be interpreted as the position for the current sample, etc.
